Nancy Stone is a painter, book artist and art teacher. She is a member of the Northern Vermont Artists Association, the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville and a Signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society. Her acrylic and watercolor paintings have received numerous awards, including 2005’s “Juror’s Choice” top award at the Vermont Watercolor Society and “Grand Prize” (Enterprise Corp. pick) at the Champlain Valley Exposition. Her hand-made artist’s books have been in juried shows at the Wood Art Gallery, Montpelier, and Studio Place Arts Gallery, Barre; one book received the Juror’s Award at the Shelburne Art Center/Book Arts Guild show. In the Burlington area, Nancy taught art at Williston Central School for twenty-one years; she is Co-Founder/Co-Chair of the Vermont Book Arts Guild, teaches “Introduction to Book Arts” at the Community College of Vermont, and mentors young artists.
