       Jeannie Compter was born in the beautiful and historic city of Bamberg, Germany.  She was an "army brat", and spent a total of 25 years in Germany, before marrying her husband Thomas.  They lived in Oklahoma for 10 years, where they have two daughters and five of their grandchildren.  One daughter and granddaughter still live in Germany.

       Jeannie now lives in Vermont, and when she isn't working part time in the local elementary school as a substitute teacher, she is doing what she loves best; drawing painting and taking photographs.

       Jeannie creates greeting cards by drawing the subject with pen and ink, and then scanning them into a computer, where she adds color effects.  Jeannie has been interested in photography for more than thirty years, and has added a wide selection of her photographs to her greeting card line-up.  She also sells larger, limited edition prints of her photos from her website.

       Jeannie is a member of the Milton Artist's Guild, the Vermont Crafts Council, and she is a board member of the Northern Vermont Artist Association.
