Barbara Spencer is a well known oil and pastel painter, with her studio in
Shelburne, Vermont. Art critics describe Spencer's work as
"traditional in a Fauvist style. Her use of rich, bold color is both
complex and uplifting". Her favorite subjects are Vermont landscapes,
still lifes, vegetables and flowers. Her paintings can be found in
many private collections.
