| Membership in the NVAA is open to all visual artists who live anywhere in the Northern half of VT (from Middlebury to the Canadian border). Our dues are a paltry $15 annually, and our dues year begins on Jan.1st. Membership is non-juried, and we accept artists who work any any visual medium. |

"WHAT DO I
GET WHEN I JOIN THE NVAA, ANYHOW...?"
Glad you asked! You get to participate in all of our events, such as our two-month long, non-juried show at the Red Mill Gallery in Jericho (right) in August and Sept, our two weekend-long shows at the University Mall in South Burlington, our month-long show at the Union Station gallery in downtown Burlington in October, and, of course, our famous JUNE JURIED SHOW, at the lovely Bryan Memorial Gallery, in Jeffersonville. You also get to chat with your fellow NVAA artists at our Pot Luck Supper and Membership Slide Show, held every November. And, of course, each month you get our amusing NEWSLETTER! |

Every month members get a copy of
ARTIFACTS, our NVAA newsletter.
Editor and NVAA President Robert Waldo Brunelle JR (left) writes an
amusing letter which keeps members up-to-date on NVAA
shows and art opportunities in the area. It is a great forum for members
to show their own work, and to tell their fellow artists about their solo
art shows.

| It really doesn't matter! One of the purposes of the NVAA is to offer amateur artists a way to connect with professionals, and "learn the ropes" on how to launch an artistic career. Some of our members are seasoned pros, who routinely show and sell their work in established galleries, while others are "Sunday painters", looking to show their work in public for the first time. Most of our shows are non-juried, giving the beginner a "safe" venue to show their work, and our newsletters are full of notices about art workshops and classes offered in the region, for those who wish to hone their artistic skills! |  |

and then send it, along with a check made out to "NVAA" for $15, to: NORTHERN VERMONT ARTIST ASSOCIATION, BOX 5010, ESSEX JUNCTION, VERMONT, 05453 Our "dues year" runs from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st, and we "purge" our list of unpaid members from the previous year before we send out our June Juried Show forms.

Someday, when a wealthy benefactor leaves the NVAA
a large sum of money, we will build the NVAA Art
Gallery. Until then, we have the next best thing, a
virtual art gallery, here in
"cyberspace". Every member gets a page on this website, in which he or
she may have three or four images, and biographical and contact info.
We will link our site to yours, and you may do likewise. The NVAA, however, will not handle sales of your work, but will, instead,refer all interested buyers to you. If you wish to have some of your artwork on this sight, email brunelles3@aol.com |

The Northern Vermont
Artist Association's June Juried Show is our oldest continuing
event, held every year (although not always in June!) since 1930.
Currently it is held at the Bryan Memorial Gallery, in Jeffersonville.
The BMG uses a "slotted-wall" type hanging system, and thus entries for this
show must be prepared a certain way in order to be hung in the gallery.
